Abstract

Analysis of stability was based on the results of survey investigation of private farms, which was conducted in the years 1986–2001. A scheme of the survey was prepared by the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute at Radzików. The survey included 143 cultivars of these, nine were chosen, which had been cultivated successively for the whole 16-years period. Particular years of the investigations were taken as different environments. On the base of the survey results four of the studied cultivars were found to be stable, whereas the others appeared to be unstable or unpredictable. Selection of stable cultivars is very important for preparing standards used in comparative analyses. The analysis of stability was performed using a software SERGEN 3.
