Abstract

The analysis of results of the preliminary trials with strains and varieties of winter wheat was performed for the year 2004. In order to distinguish the best objects from the investigated strains, each of the 15 traits (excluding yield) was divided into three classes. On this basis, 63 strains yielding higher than the Tonacja standard were characterized. It was found, that majority of the highest yielding strains had average values of the remaining features and could be placed in upper limits of the class 2 (except for frost resistance and resistance to stem rust, assigned to the best class 1).

Supporting Agencies

Statistical calculations of experiments with winter wheat lines were performed within the project 7-1-01-6-08 financed within the framework of the initial materials by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
