Abstract

Five oat cultivars grown in the Podkarpackie region of Poland were tested in a two factor field experiment on the influence of Bioalgeen fertilization on yield and its chemical composition. The experiment was carried out in the years 2003–2005. The tests showed that the application of Bioalgeen caused 9.6% increase in oat yield and 6.1% increase of protein content, in relation to the control samples. Fat, ash and nitrogen free extract contents showed no significant change.
