Abstract

Seeds of two cultivars of common wheat were subjected to four doses of semiconductor laser light after imbibition lasting 0, 30, 60, 90 or 120 min. Lengths of radicle, coleoptile and first leaf were measured as the variables. Significant effects on length of the seedling organs were found for cultivars, laser radiation doses and the imbibition times, as well as for interactions between the studied factors. The winter cultivar Kobra proved to be more susceptible to the treatments than the spring cultivar Olimpia.
