Abstract
156 doubled haploid (DH) lines of winter triticale were produced from the crosses between 35 mother forms and 12 father forms. The lines were tested in two replications at two localizations (stations): Choryń and Sobiejuchy. Based on the results obtained, the usefulness of parental forms was estimated. The best mother form at the Choryń station was variety Dinaro, and at Sobiejuchy — the hybrid (FidelioDED389/95). The produced DH lines showed the opposite yield effect in different stations only with 7 mother forms. The best father forms were MAH23175-1/20 (Choryń) and Kitaro (Sobiejuchy). Among the forms that had been used both as mother and father ones var. Dinaro gave better results as a mother form, and var. Kitaro — as a father form. The variety Sorento was found to be a better father form in Choryń, whereas it was a better mother form in Sobiejuchy.
