Abstract

The experiment comprised 13 male sterile lines (P) and 1 maintaining line (N) originated from a breeding topcross sown in the 1999–2000 vegetation season. The following parameters were evaluated on 20 plants from each line: grain yield per plant ear weight, harvest index, shoot height and grain number per ear. High positive correlations were found between the grain yield and ear weight, harvest index of ear, shoot height and grain number per ear.
