Wskaźniki spektralne w fenotypowaniu zbóż w warunkach polowych: możliwości i ograniczenia

Abstrakt

Postęp w zakresie wysokoprzepustowego fenotypowania roślin oraz rozwój bezzałogowych platform pomiarowych (UAV) istotnie zmieniły sposób oceny roślin w warunkach polowych. Szczególne znaczenie zyskały wskaźniki spektralne, umożliwiające nieniszczącą, ilościową i powtarzalną ocenę cech związanych ze wzrostem roślin, statusem wodnym, procesami starzenia oraz reakcją na stresy biotyczne i abiotyczne. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono podstawy fizyczne rejestracji sygnału spektralnego, charakterystykę najczęściej stosowanych sensorów wykorzystywanych w fenotypowaniu polowym oraz przegląd wybranych wskaźników spektralnych stosowanych w badaniach nad zbożami. Omówiono biologiczną interpretację najważniejszych indeksów, ich zastosowanie w ocenie biomasy, wigoru roślin, statusu odżywienia, stresu wodnego, starzenia oraz w estymacji plonu. Przedstawiono również główne ograniczenia związane z interpretacją danych spektralnych w warunkach polowych, obejmujące wpływ warunków środowiskowych, tła glebowego, nasycenia sygnału oraz ograniczenia modeli predykcyjnych. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono współczesnym kierunkom rozwoju, obejmującym integrację danych z wielu detektorów oraz zastosowanie metod uczenia maszynowego i sztucznej inteligencji w analizie wielowymiarowych danych fenotypowych. Wskazano, że wskaźniki spektralne, stosowane w połączeniu z danymi strukturalnymi, termalnymi i środowiskowymi, stanowią ważne narzędzie wspierające nowoczesne fenotypowanie polowe oraz podejmowanie decyzji hodowlanych w zmiennych warunkach środowiskowych.
