The influence of different doses of herbicides on yielding and macroelements content in winter wheat grain

Abstract
The experiment with winter wheat was carried out in the years 2003–2005 at the farm Bezek (near Chełm) subjected to the Agricultural University in Lublin. The two-factor field experiment was set up as randomized blocks with four replications, on rendzina soil after forecrop of tomato cultivated on full dose of manure. The aim of the study was comparison of influence of three doses of herbicides on grain yield, yield components and macroelements content in grain. The herbicides Atlantis 04 WG and Factor 365 EC were applied in three doses: full recommended (200 g∙ha-1+ 1.0 l∙ha-1), reduced to 75% and reduced to 50% in canopy of winter wheat cultivars Tonacja and Turnia. The control object was not treated with herbicides. The results were statistically analyzed by means of variance analysis, and the mean values were compared with the Tukey’s confidence intervals (p = 0.05). It was stated that grains yield, weight of 1000 grain and number of productive ears were significantly higher for the herbicides treatments, in comparison with the control. Length of ear, grain weight per ear, number of grains per ear, plant height and weight of 1000 grains were higher for the objects with cv. Turnia than for those with cv. Tonacja. The experimental factors did not differentiate contents of total protein, N, P, K, Mg, Ca and Na in grain.
